In our country (Kenya), there is no legislation that permits a private company (which is not a law enforcement agency) to be in possession of real drug samples to train drug sniffer dogs.I am interested in knowing what your opinion is to the question below. In the sniffer dog drug training industry, what would be the recommended rate / frequency per year in conducting recurrent training with the use of pseudo drug samples in; a) sniffer dogs initially trained with the use of real drugs?
b) sniffer dogs initially trained with the use of pseudo drugs?
How often would you recommend that these dogs are re-trained? I would be grateful to receive your response.
